Pysanka has been a part of Ukrainian culture for centuries, since the times of Kyivan Rus. In ancient times, decorated ceramic eggs symbolizing life and rebirth were buried in harvest fields or placed in burials to honor ancestors. The color and pattern used to decorate ceramics had their own meaning, so Easter eggs could also be created as charms.

Over time, Pysanka became a more decorative attribute. Nadiia hopes that these pysanky, which have repeated patterns from the Museum of Easter Eggs in the city of Kolomyia, will serve as a reminder of our ancestors and ourselves, as the heirs of our culture.

Сlay, glazed, hand-painted. Silk ribbon with metallic details on the ends.

Each item is individually crafted. Please note, slight variations may occur, ensuring your purchase is truly unique.
